We maintain web server logs, which contain the user's IP address, the submitted search query if submitted via HTTP GET (by default we use HTTP POST), and the full User-Agent string. To protect user privacy through plausible deniability, we may purposefully inject randomized fake entries into these logs, making it impossible to definitively verify any single log entry as authentic.
The User-Agent string explicitly identifies your web browser version, rendering engine, and underlying operating system details (for example: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 11.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/134.0.6998.166 Safari/537.36 or Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:140.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/140.0).
All retained logs are automatically deleted after 90 days. These logs are strictly utilized in the event of system abuse or at the formal request of law enforcement agencies.
Infrastructure Notice: SearchVista runs on leased server infrastructure. Consequently, we cannot prevent our hosting provider from accessing the storage, maintaining independent snapshots, or complying with legal orders served directly to them.
Tracking & Cookies: SearchVista does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any other tracking mechanisms to follow your behavior across the web.
Please note: Information submitted directly to us via the "Add URL" form or the "Contact Us" form may be retained indefinitely for operational purposes. However, you may contact us at any time to explicitly request the removal of your submitted data (including submitted URLs) from our records.
Warrant Canary: As of June 14, 2026, the SearchVista Team has received zero National Security Letters, secret gag orders, or court-issued nondisclosure warrants. We have not been subject to any silent data interception requests. This notice is updated manually on or before the 1st of every month. If this date is not updated, or if this notice disappears, users should assume we have received a legal request that we are forbidden from discussing publicly.
In the case of requested access from law enforcement agencies, the request will be logged transparently here.
